Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects is seeking a self-motivated, talented Architectural Technician. The ideal candidate will have earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD. Additional requirements include:
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software such as Sketchup, Lumion, and Twinmotion.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator graphic software is not required but is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to stay on task and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic architectural environment.
The day-to-day expectations include:
- Collaborate with the design team to generate and develop design ideas.
- Produce design and construction documents, presentation drawings, graphic design work, and digital models using AutoCAD Architecture, AutoDesk Revit, Civil 3D, Carlson Software, SketchUp, Lumion, Twinmotion, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Work with team members from concept through construction administration.
- May attend field site inspections to provide field measurements, which frequently involve a physical site walk-through.
- Attends and actively participates in project team meetings.
- Is self-directed, takes initiative, and seeks thoughtful solutions for design execution.
- Demonstrates motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges.
- Performs other duties as required.
